Product Overview
This series of corneal trephines is designed for veterinary ophthalmic surgery. Crafted from medical-grade stainless steel, it offers exceptional corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, enabling precise corneal tissue cutting for delicate procedures such as corneal transplantation and trauma repair. Available in diameters ranging from 2.0mm to 14.0mm (in 0.25mm increments), the corneal trephines accommodate diverse surgical needs across animal species (e.g., dogs, cats, horses), ensuring vertical incision stability while minimizing tissue distortion and endothelial cell damage.
Corneal Trephine Core Advantages
Precision Design & Material Excellence
- Ultra-thin, sharp blades: Minimize undercutting and collateral tissue damage, delivering smooth, perpendicular incisions for optimal donor-recipient corneal alignment.
-
Lightweight and durable design with user-friendly operation.
Adaptability & Safety
- Full-size coverage: 49 models (2.0–14.0mm) support neonatal to large-animal surgeries.
- Blade protection: Safety sheaths or spacer storage prevent accidental edge damage during transport/storage.
Sterilization & Maintenance
Recommended Sterilization Methods
- Autoclaving: 121°C/20 min (gravity displacement) or 134°C/4 min (pre-vacuum).
Post-Surgical Maintenance
- Soak in multi-enzyme cleaner (5–25 min) to dissolve residual tissue.
- Clean blades gently with a soft-bristled brush; avoid impact.
- Dry thoroughly and inspect functional integrity before storage.
Precautions
- Inspect blades for sharpness, rust, or deformation prior to use. Damaged instruments are strictly prohibited.
- Avoid direct blade handling; wear cut-resistant gloves during procedures.
- Store in dry environments (humidity ≤80%), away from corrosive agents.
